i'd go with BC's tailgate cables. no offense to duff, but i see a lot of plastic bushings in that pic. BC has some pretty nice machined metal bushings in their kit.

I have the poly hinges on my rig. Can't remember if they are from BG or not. Regardless, they work fine.

The poly hinges rock! there tight and quiet! All the venders sell the same thing. As far as the cables, i have talked to chuck at bc i think and his are better made than the black ones other places have. Chucks are of more supple cable for better flex. I just installed some cheep black ones from local auto parts store on mine. Nice upgrage from rattle trap factory supports.

I have both and there is no plastic in the duff cables except the flat nylon washers that I didnt even use. They are both great in my opinion.

Thanks Casey. Yes, that is an old picture, the kit was revised to utilize two machined spacers and just the nylon washers so it moves very smoothly.

I have the poly hinges, and they work good. The only rattles i have in back are from tools flying around

Duane,
If you have stock spare tire carrier, check for rattles in this first. That's usually the worst back there. You can sometime quiet your stock supports if they are missing the rubber insulators that are missing on the tailposts. There are also tiny push-in bumpers at the top of the tailpost (insulate tailgate to tailposts) that a lot people miss (especially after paint). They go in a little 1/4" hole or so. These cheap little babies make a big difference.
The poly hinges fit good, but unless your tailgate is totally loose back there and your suspension is rock hard, the factory ones should be causing a ton of noise. Not trying to not sell you on them. I've used BCs cables and the poly bushings and liked both, but just saying make sure you fixing what needs fixing.

If you ever get a chance look on the left side of the main page. When I wanted a catalog from them I just called and asked. And yes they have some of my money and will get more when I have more.
Wish I'd thought about those cables last week...DOH!

The Duff's make great stuff, pleasure to have got to meet/know them at the MEB event. I think the vendors do a great job for a relatively small market, I can't picture any of them getting rich from all of us.

Good point! I do have the spare, and it locks up solid, or seemingly so. There is the giant 31" bias ply hanging off of it. I like the spare, but the more I think about it I may mount the spare on the roof rack (ala safari style).
