I am running a 2.5 toms lift with a 1 inch body lift. Also am running the newer Dennis carpenter uncut fenders. I am planning on running the bf Goodrich t/a tires. It will mostly be on pavement and dirt trails. would 33's look ok or should I put 35's on it. also will 15 by 8 inch rims be ok. thanks for any input.

The 8 inch wheel width is fine for the tires themselves, for anything from 10 1/2 to 12 1/2 inches wide.
But whether or not they fit inside the fender wells will depend on the back spacing/offset measurements.

Just to be clear here though, when you say uncut fenders, are you referring to stock replacement fenders, or the ones that come pre-formed with the wider opening that mimics a cut fender?
What about in the front? Standard opening there?

Oh, but as for what looks OK is a tough question. Everyone would have a different opinion so it’s really up to you.
I think some 35s might look a little big on that lift, but I’m among the smaller number of people that likes a little wheel well space left. I don’t like it when the tires fill the complete wheel well on a bronco.
Looks fine on some, but not all vehicles.
It’s a very personal preference.

Another question about tire size might be what gear ratio you are planning to run in your differentials and what transmission you have.
Are you going to change the rear end gears to suit the tires, or the transmission type you’re using?

The fenders are the newer stamped ones. And I am running a AOD with 5.13 gears. Thanks for the help.

You have plenty of options with those gears so not an issue (unless you go too small). Do you have disc brakes? The 15s can have clearance issues. 16s or 17s no brake issues. I have 15s with disc on all four and had to have external wheel balancing on the rear due to the internal balancing weights contacting the caliper. Only about 1/16” clearance. I think that with that lift either 33 or 35 would look great.

17x9 wheels with 33x10.50 (285x70r17) tires would work well.
thanks scoop do you know what is a good back set measurement? I have stock front fenders and the new rear quarters that match the front. So no fender flares. thanks again.
