RJM EFI Harness Question

Hey I installed one of Ryan McCormicks (RJM Technologies) EFI harness many years ago but I have lost the emails from him that explain which relay and fuse do what. Also, I have a mystery green wire that is terminated in a loose Weather Pack connector down by the transmission that I believe is for the reverse lights. Does anyone have info from Ryan that would show what is what????

Thanks, Tony

I've got the PDF at home on my hard drive. When I'm home in a couple of hours, I can look for them and send them to you. PM me your email.

Don't think RJM engine harness would have had any provision for the backup lights, so that's likely something else. O2 sensor wires were a different color I think, and Pink for the fuel pump maybe? What about a VSS? You have one of those hooked up? How long is the Green wire? If it's shorter than a VSS, maybe it was the tach wire?

Sorry we don't have the instructions up on our site. I thought we did, but here they are: https://www.ronfrancis.com/images/TDZ75-INST.pdf
I'll try to get that up next week to our page.

Didn't read them thoroughly, but don't remember any specific mention of the specific location of the relays. But there should be a fuse rating diagram near the end that might give the clues you need to what does what. If you follow the control wires through the fuses to the relays, you may be able to get your answers and then be sure to mark them for future reference.

Good luck.

Used to do that myself. But that was three or four smoked computers ago. Some links and info I don't have access to any longer, some I just got tired of uploading to my next hard drive.%)

Probably quite the need out there still.
I wonder if there's a way to easily post them up in the Tech Articles for future reference?

Thanks for making them available to request anyway. Good resource to have.

Hey guys thanks for the responses! I now know what the first four relays and fuses are for, now I just need to figure out what the extra three I had Ryan add are for... I think they are for reverse lights, cooling fans and air compressor clutch.

BTW Ryan's harness has worked flawlessly for over 10 years. now!

Thanks again for the help...

One is very likely the A/C clutch. He did that on quite a few of the early ones as a special order.
Any others you're going to have to remember I guess. I don't remember ever talking to anyone that had him add three!;D

Good Stuff!
I printed and saved the files you guys linked. Thanks! I had lost my originals also.

A tech library is a great idea Paul. That'd be quite a job to organize, collect and keep it updated. But oh so valuable.

I had that very question recently. I have the diagrams though. But what I was not absolutely certain about was whether the arrangement shown in the diagram that 904Bronco posted was the exact same as the arrangement on the actual harness, in other words, MAF, FP, IGN, EEC as viewed from the passenger side looking down at the relays. It looks like you guys are saying that it is.

Anything is possible of course, but Ryan was pretty clear from the beginning that he laid them out the same so everyone would be able to service them in the future without too much drama.
Not sure why he didn't do it to all of them, but he would, upon request, label each one.
That's what we had him do to a few of the harnesses we got from him back in the day.
Sure was easy with labels!
