Just finished mine this weekend:

Tom's Rocker Rappers are a solid choice. I am running a set of 1/4 SS ones he made and they are beefy. I installed them using SS rivet nuts. I have Line-X on the rockers, which acts as a "gasket" for the rocker from grit and moisture. I also used a strip of the sticky backed foam near the top of the outer rapper which prevents additional crap from getting down in between the rapper and the rocker; it also serves as anti-rattle and paint protection for the front fender.
When I installed these, I was in a big push for my CO trip, so I didnt get any pics. I dont have any closeup pics, but here is one at our first night camping after we got into CO and out of CO Springs.
I would like to add some SS tube to these down the road...then I will PC them flat-black to match the rest of the trim. For now, its 3 coats of Rustoleum Industrial flat black--which is almost a perfect match for my PCed trim. Down the road, if they scratch, no biggie...she wont bleed.
As well, I have seen in person the Duff's sliders; the 1/4" ones with tube were very impressive. If I hadnt had the RRs already on the shelf from a parts swap I did with Tom a few years ago, I would have been willing to invest the $ on the Duff's ones. They are impressive. However, their design is very similar to the BCB ones. Their mounting kit is totally different...Duff's mounting kit is where I got the idea to use riv-nuts for my Rocker Rappers.
Good luck with your choices.
OOPS, the photo I have is too big and I cant resize it at work...I will try to get to it later. Sorry.
Are these "Tom's Rocker Rappers are a solid choice" from Tom's Bronco in Oregon? Are those the ones you are referring to? ;D
How about these!
We have a huge thread on these in the archives with tons of pics. I highly recommend Broncolove's rocker guards. He made me a great set and added the side tubes also.
here's a photo.

These are modified BC Rock Skis. They are also tied to the frame underneath for strength.
