I think I already know the answer, but what is the proper installation method? Sandwich the carpet, or cut around carpet and mount cage direct to floor? Making some progress on my uncut driver, and its time to install the rollbar.

Cut the carpet, circle for the tube diameter and slit to edge. The pad (roll bar) goes underneath and then a larger or smaller sandwich plate underneath in the least. Frame tie-ins if you want to guarantee that the body to stays attached the frame during a serious roll over event.

If you really want a finished look then after you've cut the carpet fine a place to have the raw edges bound.
