Rotopax gas/water containers

I thought I would ask first to see if anyone has a connection or know where to get Rotopax containers/mounts on sale or if someone has some they dont want/use?

This weekend my cousin and I made a custom mount for my bumper to carry (03) spare containers. I'm thinking (02) gas and (01) water/radiator fluid.

It's been a very long time and do not remember what rear bumper this is. I just purchased the bumper with the spare tire carrier because at the time the only option for the ice chest racks were mounted high (I believe they had a spot for Jerry cans under it, but I wanted a lower mounted ice chest rack.

Years ago my dad made the ice chest mount.

I did not want the containers up high or really visible, I wanted to keep a clean look so this is what we came up with.

Looks good.

That's an early Proto Fab tube bumper. I had one for years with only a tire swingout carrier. Eventually the weight of my 35" spare started ripping the tubes where the carrier hinge was welded on.

Can't help you on a discount Rotopax price but I can say that I'm happy with the ones I carry on my newer, modified Proto Fab plate bumper, also mounted between spare and body. I'm carrying two 2 gallon water containers since I also have a swingout jerry can carrier and don't need the extra fuel.

I am carrying the extra gas/water for everyone else (not for me........right, lol)!

Might be a dumb question and I am sure everyone has their own opinion, again I was thinking of a container for radiator fluid. Does radiator fluid go bad like brake fluid once the bottle/container is open?

Right now I carry extra radiator fluid containers/gallon jugs of water and they swell up.

My extra radiator fluid in my white Rotopax is water. I wouldn't bother carrying antifreeze. If you need replacement fluid to get you home, water's going to do the trick.

No radiator fluid doesn't go bad. The problem with brake fluid is that it will absorb moisture from the air which causes it to go bad and not work as well. That’s not an issue with anti-freeze coolant

I second the water, it can also keep you alive. Antifreeze will only keep vehicles alive.

I too use Rotopax I’ve never seen a sale, I just suck it up and buy them.
