GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
As I was getting ready to burp the system my new balanced thermostat (180) arrived from Summit. I replaced the old one which was a 195 (thought it was 180) and burped the system after putting it in. I let it idle for a long time and never got above 180, when I drove around the block it stayed below 170.
Thanks for all the help gentleman. Being a newbie at repairs I was worried but you guys all helped.
