Safe to drive on small tires?

I am days away from driving her for the first time in 4 years but we're also in the process of buying a house. Per my realtor's advice, I'm not to go make any big purchases... like new tires... so, is it safe to drive her around with small tires?

I have 3.5" suspension lift, 1" body and 31x9.5 tires.

Thanks in advance.

Should not be an issue from a suspension point of view. Only question is gearing. If too low you might tend to over rev at highway speeds. But you should be fine with 31's. In fact you'll probably like the way it drives - you should have lots of power! LOL

I haven't changed gears yet so I would imagine I'll be okay there.

My main concern was it being tipsy since I've raised the COG quite a bit but haven't improved the stance at all...

Thanks for the help Scoop... on a side note, we have very similar specs, how do you like you're 4.11 gears with 35s?

Other then people pointing and laughing, it is safe to drive. Stability wise, it will probably be more stable with the small tires then with larger, wider tires.

pointing and laughing.. that made me laugh.. lol.. get some of those 13inch rims with some tiny tires.. it will make the lift look like it is 10 inches.. kinda like trimming the bushes makes the deck look bigger..

The 4.11s work great with my C4. However if you are having to change your gearing I would go to 4.56 if mainly street or 4.88 if mainly trail.
