Anyone have any recomendations for a soda blaster that can do sand blasting also? My dad is looking for one. He has been looking at a 100 lb. Eastwood blaster.

The best you can get is a Marco (formerly Lindsay), pots come in all sizes but the small 35 lb pots are awesome, made just like big sandblasters but on a smaller scale. I am a sandblaster, been doing it on the side for about 10 yrs, and I would recommend a Marco, you can run it on about a 5-6 hp compressor, check out they're site, they're high but blow that harbor freight and northern tool crap away. DuPont Star Blast abrasive is good stuff too.

I am looking to buy one, so bringing this back to the top. Any new and recent info? I've heard mixed reviews on the HF units. I'm looking to spot blast the rusted body areas...front edge of hood, rear quarter panel seams. Maybe my original steel wheels if it works well and I have some spare time!

Thanks for any recommendations!

I'm happy with the 110# H/F....Needs help to work well. I set it up with a deadman for soda and ball valve for sand. I'm happy with the cost and productivity.

i have bought my share of tools from harbor freight and similar places, normally everything works good as long as you only use it 2 or 3 times, than sell it on ebay. lol

i've got the "soda" blaster from HF. Blue tank. Only complaint (and probably true with any of them) is the suck up tube kept getting clogged with water. I had to stop every 5 minutes to dry it. I've since added some water traps into my compressor but haven't blasted since then.

it's not the blasters falt its the compresser's. you need a air dryer, water trap
