I wanted a little more power so I bought the Trick Flow top end kit. It is nice to see a Made In USA stamp when shelling out 2600 bucks.:)

Gave up on the Kenne Bell?

Yes I gave up. I blew a head gasket, and did not want to mess with it. I did a lot of work to make it fit but the motor ran really hot. I should have just taken it somewhere to get it dialed in. I might try a vortech suercharger since the computer tuner I have is more for a centrifigual or turbo style set up. What really was hard was the set up tune sheet I got for a base setting on the tuner. It ran poorly and I could not get it right so after I blew the head gasket the blower sat on the bench for a few months so I sold it.:-[

That sucks. It had the cool factor for sure. I knew you were struggling to get it dialed in, and I was paying attention as it was on my wish list. Leaning towards a 408 instead. Searching craigslist for a roller windsor truck that I can pick up cheap. Now that the bronco is pretty much done I need a new project.

Baja57, did your KB have the bypass valve? It seems to help with the heat on mine. No intercooler is the big down side to the KB for the 5.0's. Good luck with the new set up.

No bypass. I talked to a few Bay Area shops for tuning but most said without an intercooler you really limit the power potential because boost can't go to high with 91 octane. I think the people I talked to just did not want to mess with the older technology. I did not get it because thousands of these blowers are out there and I'm sure most work just fine. I'll update my progress thanks for the encouragement.
