I was in need of a part so I posted a request on this forum. I had someone reach out to me offering to sell it to me, but after I paid him, I found out it was a scam. Here is the contact info so you dont fall victim:

What a loser. Ive always had good luck with buying parts in the past from this forum.

Did the scammer reach out to you using the forum PM system or did you post your email and they contacted you offline? If through the forum then please give me their username. I searched for both emails and neither have accounts here.

I'm really sorry this happened and it serves as a reminder to us all to be careful when dealing with people we don't know.

There's a warning sticky post in all the Classifieds sections here with some tips, most of all to be careful of new members with only a few posts and to never pay using a method that doesn't offer buyer protection. For example, Paypal "friends and family" does not offer protection, but regular Paypal does. The 3% or so more that they charge is cheap insurance in my mind.
