That's an interesting idea. I tried to put a regulator in line before my solenoid but it was junk and couldn't be adjusted in close enough to work so I took it out. Adding another regulator right at the tank though would allow me to run two different pressures. One for tires and one for my ARB. (Same basic deal as I tried with the in line one)scsm76 said:Watch the amount of air pressure you run to the ARB, every one I saw that had problems was due to too much air pressure. Just install a regulator before the ARB switches if you have a normal on board air system. If you use CO2 you can even get dual pressure reg. right at the tank. This is what we put on a friends Toyota for CO2:

Its kind of big but he needed a tank regulator any way.
A simple in line adjustable regulator works well too.
At any rate make sure any regulator you use is adequate. The ARB will come with an electric solenoid and even though a few have had problems with the solenoid failing I have never had any issues with it. In reality it is a pretty simple setup that amounts to a coil magnet to trigger it. Keep it in a clean spot and it should last a long time. (Most probably fail after they get corroded enough to keep the solenoid from moving)
