I'm getting the stretch from two places. First is the springs I'm running (S-10 based springs, 54" long, 2" offset), which will give me either 2" or 4" of stretch depending on how the top leaf is oriented. The second place is the spring plate/u-bolt retainter, which is drilled to accept the locating bolt in stock, 1" forward or 1" rearward positions. That gives me the choice of running 2" +/- 1" or 4" +/- 1".

I see. If you go back 4+ inches, the cross brace will need to be relocated a few inches. Thats what I did but then had to raise the gas tank into the bed.

.... Which is part of why I don't plan to go back more than 3" at the moment. But it's nice to know that if I decide to go more in the future, I can do so without anything but modding the rear cross brace and tank.
