LOL..the 'missus going wheeling with the old man' part..or the 'vertically challenged girl friend' part??..or just simply the girlfriend part, challenged, or not?... ;D

I'm 47...not old yet.

Hey im 46 also not that old yet. I put on a set of steps on for the wife and the first set of rocks they were gone. Now I just have grab handels and do that parking next to the rock or curb thing when I can. Makes her think I love her ever more. 35" tires 3" inch lift plus 3" body lift.

You guys crack me up! ;D So far the GF likes the stirrup method and got a kick out of the bungee cord/stool thing. She says she'll be glad to climb up the tires if I ever get a soft top. The tires are 35" BFG's for now. Now more than ever, I need to get a digital camera to help y'all "visualize" the situation. ;D Keep the ideas coming.

I don't think many people like the looks of these (steel horse steps) but I don't do too much wheeling and it helps me get my big butt into the rig...as well as my wifes. %)

alot of heavy epuipment will have 2 cables hanging down and a step at the end. this way if they hit any thing the step can move. you might be able to find something at a heavy epuipt. grave yard. there are a few around here, not sure about around you.
http://www.cat.com/cda/layout?m=37840&x=7 scroll down and click on the scaper picture. hanging off the front of the scraper you can see what i am talking about. :)

Those are the type that I broke off on the first set of rocks I found.

I use a milk crate for the wifey to step up on. It makes me look chivalrous at the same time because I get the door for her. Just toss the milk crate in the back while we're cruising along.

Guys,

What about just getting another girlfriend and they can help each other get in?

Seriously
Just keep a towl under the seat and get down on one knee and throw the towl over you leg for her to stand on.

I use to do that for a girl I dated when she would wear skirts.

LOL, Its hard to afford one girlfiend as well as the bronco, I'd rather have one girl and two broncos ;D Not a bad idea though. I like those stirrups, and I'm sure my short girlfriend would too ;)

i never thought of the b-dog being real tall, but tall enough for me. i'm 5'3'' and my bronco has a 4 inch lift with 33'. i have fallen back out of the truck i don't know how many times while trying to get up into it. to open the hood i keep a little step stool in the back. but really, the thing that helps me get up into it is the steering wheel. plus i kinda do a special run skip hop number to get into it.

That's awesome. Nice to see a girl that doesn't complain about trivial things like a special skip hop number. ;D

Hmmm....Thankfully I don't have that problem at 6', but if I were in your shoes I would do something disposable unless you plan on marrying her. I wouldn't want to put holes in my bronco for something that isn't permanent. Just a thought

I have a stirrup hanging from my door bars on the roll cage as well for her to get in.
If she does not ride there is a good change she will fall alot when tring to get in.
Best part is 1 stirrup is free, I normally find broken ones at our ranch all the time :D

And cant believe no one suggested a new GF yet...

I'm thinking that wouldn't be a good idea... I don't think a girlfriend who helped drive it back from Mississippi to Texas, take out the old engine, put in the new engine, change out the front end, work on the brakes, check on Ebay auctions for old parts, etc. is worth letting go (even if I am..er.. SHE is short)... In fact, I think she'd be one to marry and keep, but what do I know? :-X :-* (Even if she drives a Heep... )

LMAO! I would have to agree that, under the particular circumstances you described, an alternative GF would not be a wise choice (the Heep thing is problematic, though). But this is all hypothetical, of course..right? ;)
