Now that sliding windows have been out for a bit, I would like some feedback from users before I potentially get a set. Likes? Dislikes? Any feedback would be appreciated since they ain't cheap.

I bought a set of the ones @Derelict makes and sells through Northeast Classic Ford Parts, a couple of months ago. Mine are clear anodized.

I spoke with Tom, the guy who makes them. He told me the first 50 or so pairs were difficult to install but he'd made a change to fix that. Mine were as easy to install as the stock solid glass windows. I re-used my old Dennis Carpenter (US made) gaskets because they were still in excellent condition.

The windows are very nicely made, and they solved a problem for me that has bugged me for years and that I posted about a few months back. Stagnant air in the back. No place for it to go. With the rear windows barely cracked I get much better circulation. I have a Vintage Air AC system, and even though it's recirculate only, having the rear windows slid open maybe 1/2" makes all the difference. Cool air gets into the back and I don't feel like I'm sitting in front of an oven.

I overlapped the string at the bottom, used plenty of Polywater J electrical cable lube and did them both by myself. Easy.

So you added these since that discussion? Was it one of the suggestions brought up? Seems like I remember it was, but not sure after all this time.
Glad you got that air moving out!

1/2 way to everywhere
After having mine for a couple of months in our 100+ degree heat, I will agree that they make all the difference in the world! I've been running with the rear screened section wide open and the wing windows positioned to help draw out interior air. Almost as much air flow as a FSB with the rear window all the way down.

That's right, Paul. An easy solution with other benefits. I should probably go find the thread I started and close it out.

A big additional benefit as I discovered on a recent trip is being able to access crap, AKA camping gear, through the open side windows.

Do you have an exact version that you are thinking about? Obviously there are different ones available from different vendors these days.
Not to mention the old school ones from CRL that have been around for about 50 years, but that are probably no longer available new.

I'm running one of the first run sets, they were definitely a pain to install. Went through a couple sets of gaskets before I got them in. They are nice for getting airflow, but they do leak when it rains or when you're washing the bronco. Not sure if the second run was better about that.

Guaranteed the ones I have will leak somewhere. But thankfully I live where it never rains (sure). Though on the rare occasion that it does, my Bronco is parked safely away from evil rain water, which continues to turn the compressed rust from which it is built into the soil underneath.

That is a lot of cheddar for extra places on your Bronco where rain will come through. Usually we are trying to stop that.

I would be less than impressed to have that result.

Hi There

I am the manufacturer of the sliders. Thank you for asking for additional feedback on this forum. I am interested in seeing it as well. I will say I have heard no complaints directly, with exception of first batch being very difficult to install. That was corrected after first batch of fifty pair. I do see one person saying he experienced leaks when it rained but I have no details on that. We did have some instances of the rear window latch being broken in shipping. I have replaced them at no charge and have not heard of any breaking in actual use. I keep them in stock.
Feel free to contact me with any questions through this forum.
