Has anyone installed one of these units or one similar while maintaining the functionality of the standard dual tank system? If so how?

Suppose to pick mine up this week. My young installer friend has, I suppose best stated, been challenged. I’ve helped several times with CB info, diagrams, etc. He’s previously installed Sniper on his Dad’s EB, but not with dual tank setup. I insisted we keep duals and figure it out. I will let u know.

Yes. I run a 23 gal tank in back, with 3/8 line and a carter low pressure pump to a GM dual tank 6 port valve, then a Bosch high pressure pump to the Sniper. The 5/16 return line goes back to the valve. The Aux tank is gravity fed to the valve. The valve is mounted in a custom bracket to the frame even with the rear of the aux tank. You'll need to make a custom bracket as the valve has a 45 degree mounting point designed for GM. It was easy to make.

So there's a 3/8 to and 5/16 from the valve to each tank, then a 3/8 to and to 5/16 from the sniper to the valve. Ford has a 6 port system too but they're crazy expensive which is why I went with GM

Oh, and filters before each pump. The valve has a maximum pressure below a sniper which is why I use the carter before.

This is the valve I used:

People will tell you to just run a transfer pump from the aux to the main, and that makes it a lot easier, but I run different fuel in each tank and my sniper controls my timing based on the fuel. The Aux is for a little extra umph. The main tank is for longer drives where I don't need the power. The valve is wired to switch your fuel sending from either tank to your gauge, but I run dual gauges so not needed. Makes it nice for the factory Bronco gauge.

I run the Fitech with dual tanks. I use a 1995 Ford F-150 high pressure frame mounted pump plumbed from both tanks to an electric change over valve that the vendors sell to replace the manual changeover valve. I mounted the fuel pump on the drivers side outside frame rail as close to center of both tanks as I could. Also mounted the electric changeover valve a few inches from the fuel pump, on the frame rail. I use the factory fuel gauge selector switch to change the fuel supply from main or auxiliary tanks with the electric changeover valve.. I used the factory manual changeover valve to manage the low pressure returns. When I flip the electric switch to change tanks I also flip the manual changeover valve to change the returns. Looks and work completely factory

Also I sourced a fuel pump mount from a 1995 f150 from the junkyard. This all may sound confusing. If you need. Pictures or further explanation just let me know. Works great !!
