More pics http://s994.photobucket.com/albums/af61/t_lay/early%20bronco/ here.

I've had it down to the frame - new springs, poly bushings, 4-core radiator, poly fuel tanks (only rear installed). Spin Tech muffler - x pipe - (2) 2 1/2" in - 3" exit out the rear. Took the tailgate off tonight to reshoot - new galvanized tailgate - had some adhesion issues - will be fixed this week. I may reshoot the hood matte black while I'm at it. Probably have 15k in it. But rarely get a chance to drive it. Starting a business, so I could put the funds to use rather than driveway art.

The safari top was the hard top - I'm having canvas sides w/window made to snap on. I can either make a set of tube doors or soft doors to go with it.

This is tempting me something bad. I would love to see how the safari top turns out as well as what the tube doors would look like.

No worries, I've got an idea or two for the next. I've always been thinking about what I might do differently. My tools and experience are a bit better after seven years. I'm really tempted to see if I can put one together out of the free section of the classifieds - I've seen frames, engines, transmissions, transfer cases, even a tub or two. Starting a business this fall/winter. I'm guessing by spring I'll have an itch to build something.

I would really like to come see this but you are 6hrs away and I'm going to be out of town this weekend as well as next. If you have not sold it yet at that point I may have to make the trip up to see it.

No problem. I'll be painting the tailgate and inserts this weekend. Also drew up some designs for tube doors and having canvas sides made for the safari top. Hopefully it will be getting a titch better every day.

Sold it. Kinda mixed about it. It was an interesting history/story of the thing stranding me in the middle of Arkansas on halloween night seven years ago. Mostly I wish I had the skills and tools back then that I've gained over the years. Guess that's what the next project is for...

I knew it would sell before I could get there. That was a sweet Bronco and a great price, I hope the new owner enjoys.

Well the PO probably did sell it to someone who thought they could half azz throw it together... and flip it for a HUGE profit.

I mean really 16K for the body panel aligment of a blind man. It certainly stinks when you see the sport and the hobby being butched by over-exaggerated prices.

It too will become yet another rig that sits on market for an extended period of time.
