I've got a '67 with the original locking hubs. On mine, the dials will spin all the way around in a circle. Is this normal? I can tell as I am rotating them that they are locking in and out of position, so I'm assuming it's normal. The hubs are not marked locked and unlocked, so I don't know which position is which. There is a line and a letter F for the two positions. Am I correct in assuming that the F is for unlocked? As in "Free"

did you try right 32, left 17, right 6? I think that was the factory combination.;D;D:p

otherwise, I have that type on a project truck in my yard but never really paid much attention to them, but I would assume the same thing... F for free with like a 3/4 turn to the line to lock them in? I'm sure someone else will know for sure soon, but if not I can check mine later.

Yes they turn either way with no stop, every 90 degrees is lock-unlock. When the 'lever' is lined up with the 'F' they are free and when in-line with the lines on the outer ring that is locked.
