Yes, the thing I thought would never happen happened last night. I was cruising down a road in the outside lane when the kid in the inside lane cut over hitting me on the driver side trying to get into a parking lot. I saw him coming at me so I tryed to cut hard to get out of the way but it was too late. He scraped all the way down the side, destroyed the back tire flare and broke the front one in two. It messed up the front tire up pretty bad too. My baby is scared and I am looking for a good paint and body place in town to fix it as soon as possible. This is just my luck. I just get the top and doors off for a nice drive and this happens...wow I will be sure to find the best and most expensive paint and body shop in town because his insurance company will be paying.
Why do let people like this drive at all? ?:?

sounds like time for some body protection. My 72 has be hit 4 times but thanks to beefed up wrap around bumpers and 1/4" rock skis there was never any damage to the bronco. The other cars had some issues but it was their fault anyway. Somebody hit the wifes 66 last week but luckily he caught the stock rear bumper instead of the quarter panel. It pulled his front end apart without even bending the bumper. I guess I have to get her new bc quarter panel gaurds on soon.

Hit In Beaumont

I use to live in Beaumont. Go big Red. Be careful of Insurance adjusters.
Do a search on accidents with broncos here. Very good advice has been
given by folks that have gone through this. Hope everyone is O K and the
the Bronco is still driveable.

Thanks for the input, ya i work at sonic on college. The kid that hit me is trying to tell the insurance companys that it was my falt. Ya i went by vins and they said they are going to have to look up prices and everything. My bronco looks great compared to the kids 2000 F-150 that is undrivable now. He hit my side then his wheel hit my bumper and that was the end of things for his truck. :)

Gee, the F-150 that totaled my bronco and two other vehicles faired very well. I hope it all works out for you. Keep after the insurance if you are not happy, don't settle for less. But seeing as how yours is not a total loss, then you should be fine!

Hate to hear it, make sure you look for things that arent on the surface, like bends or cracks in chassis or suspension, dont want some gremlin poping up a month after you get it back.
good luck

Beaumont is the pits. I have lived there for the past 3.5 years and have been counting down the days until I could move out. I am finally moving in 1 week. Beaumont is the capital of everything crooked and lawyers that suck the people dry. The money-hungry tort lawyers have sucked that town dry.

I just had a hit and run about a month ago. Heard the crash got up and saw tailights pulling away. Told my wife to call the cops and ran out to get her car and see if I could find anyone. No such luck! Luckly the just hit the rear tire and broke the Axle, caliper, caliper bracket, shock, and moved the body on the mounts about 1/4 of an inch. lucky for me the did not do any bady damage. That was all me!
By the way uninsured and underinsured motorist means there has to be a motorist so I had to fix it myself with no help from my insurance.
