Hi!

So I drive my 77' a lot, almost a daily driver. I didn't notice at first, but apparently someone (douchebag) attempted to jimmy my door open. I first noticed a blemish in the top wrap, then the trim was bent up. Looks like they tried to pull the window open enough to coat hanger the door lock..unsuccessfully. I popped the trim back fine, can't fix the pen tip size hole in my vinyl wrap (3 weeks old).

Security System Suggestions?

I currently use a painless keyless system. Is there a camera setup, proximity alarms or anything you guys suggest?

Thanks

That sucks man only sure fire theft deterrent I know of is a hungry Rottweiler for the passenger seat. Works with the windows down and top off to.

Kill switch or cable from brake pedal to steering wheel. I am planning on a removable steering wheel on my current build. As mentioned in past threads, there's no hope if someone has a flatbed.

Only issue with kill switches is that they only come into play AFTER someone has accessed the inside of the vehicle.

Absolute amateurs if they couldn't break into a Bronco ;D
Ya if they were professionals, you would be talking to your insurance and the cops! I don't have a top so I take the coil wirer, and use my sons club.

I had an issue a couple of years back. I have a soft top so I don't lock mine. They got the ignition out but weren't smart enough to get it started. Doubt they could have driven a 3 speed. I put kill switch in. If they really want it and have the time not much can stop them.

Even when I had a soft top it stayed unlocked. Lock your doors with a soft top you end up with a sliced soft top.

Get this straight if someone wanted to steel you stuff they would have broke the window. They tried to steel your Bronco. They want minimal damage if they want the truck. They were dumd asses if they cant steel a Bronco. You just got lucky.

If, if, I am far away, I have a battery disconnect under the hood and I take the coil wire.
I also built a flashing LED under the dash that I activate (visible to anyone that looks inside).
Smoke, mirrors and delays, I get it.
