I have a disconnect switch for my electric fuel pump. The switch is inside the Tuffy console, and I lock that when I leave. The only way someone can take mine is if they tow it.

Sorry to hear about the possible theft...

Security inside my Bronco is pretty much taken care of. Tuffy glove box, Tuffy console, and I had 2, but now down to 1 full width 6" high tool box under/behind the rear seat made out of 14 ga.

I haven't had a top or any way to lock my Bronco since '98.

How do you stop theft? Don't drive your Bronco... :( I daily drive, leave it when hiking/hunting/fishing... yeah, sometimes I worry but what can I do if the rig is parked for hours in an area without any cell service? Cool wireless transmitters would work for most...I probably ought to get one for all my local stuff.

I am looking into an electronic system that requires a code from my phone to be input via usb and audrino components to start the rig. A physical connection. I was an electronic tech in the Army and have many friends that still are in the civilian world. It will require and app to be written and all that but should be doable with everything hidden away in a locked location. Could even put the app on an old out dated phone in the bottom of the console. Usb port on the dash. No one would know that it wasn't just a regular charge point. It would help me keep better track of my phone too.

I really like the idea of a cut off switch in the tuffy console combined with a gps tracker.

One of my friends got his super duty 4x4 ripped off Friday night from in front of his house. Waiting to see how bad he gets screwed by his insurance.

That sucks man only sure fire theft deterrent I know of is a hungry Rottweiler for the passenger seat. Works with the windows down and top off to.

😆😂 I can’t get my Rottweiler out of my Bronco, she thinks it’s her kennel and won’t let anyone but me near it. In fact, when I tried to take my mechanic on a test drive she wouldn’t let him in.

I installed a hidden push button switch under the carpet in series with the ignition switch
So you have to hit both at the same time to activate the starter

I wanted a low oil pressure kill switch like the old 18 wheelers used to have

They had a setup with a oil pressure switch that would kill the engine below 8 psi
When you cranked it , you had to hold down the low oil over ride switch till the pressure came up

I helped out a friend repo some cars with a flatbed and I would hop out and squirt dawn dishwashing soap under the tires while he was hooping up the cable and it slides right onto the truck

Bronco security back in the early days.
They worked, but caused a major wind whistle.
