Some a-hole tried to sneak away with my bronc the other night. I had the doors locked but I always forget to lock the rear liftgate which is how he got in it. He didn't try to hot wire it for some reason, maybe he knew how loud it would have been. Instead, he pushed it back by himself and turned the wheel to do a three point turn out of the back yard, genius. He couldn't get the wheel cut back after the first turn so either he gave up, or got spooked and took off. I had a bunch of tools, CD's, CD player, and other stuff in there and none of it got touched ?:? . The neighbors thought it was me out there f'n around like I always do so they didn't do anything, but I do think that when they looked out the window, that is what spooked him.

Now I have a boron alloy lock with a 3/8 chain around my bumper and a giant oak tree keepin' it there till I get something better.

So LOCK YOUR DAMN LIFT GATE!!

Ya, I'd kinda like to see a guy try to steal mine. They would have to hotwire the engine, hook up a wire or something to the carb so they could accelerate. And then they'd probably want to have some kind of anchor so they could stop. They could hold the "shifter" in their hand though and sit on the plywood I have on the frame. I'd pay to see that. Of course I'd have to run them down in my brothers Bronco and then attempt to "pursuade" them to stop.

My question is what do people plan on doing with a stolen bronc. Is it so old that they think you wont care or do they part it out. I had a guy try to steal mine once, he tried to hot wire it the old way with a wire to the dist. The msd box wasnt powered up so it wouldnt start, it was just a couple wires I had to tape up. Back then I kept it in a barn, now I keep it in a bunch of boxes and the frame is on saw horses.

Get yourself a watchdog. Mine has helped out quite a bit and kept f'ers out of my yard and away from my stuff on numerous occasions. She's just a mutt, but she's got a pretty good bark.

Think of all us out here with no hard top and so no way to lock her up... %)

I'd love to catch a guy in progress trying to steal mine...the 4 shifters would probably mess him up long enough for me to use my BFH just like the beatles song (Maxwell's hammer)... ;)

LOL

I have no hard top and doors on my new one, witht he key in the ignition. The only problem is they'd have to tear down my backyard fence to get away with it.
Speaking of thieves I put my new tires on my truck that barely fit with no lift so noone would walk off with them. Can't have 37's laying around because they WILL roll off.

Funny you say that because when I looked out the window and saw it missing, the thought did cross my mind ;D

It's my daily driver and since I live in a "college oriented" neighborhood, I get a lot of looks every time I pull out of the driveway. I guess all those kids want to look like they're in an American Eagle catalog %) .

Damn.

And I just got my killswitch in today, and was going to install it soon. Then again, its useless if someone wants to push it around.
