I know this has been covered many times over however this is the first website, that I have seen which actually does a comparison of many different sound and heat insulating materials. This guy covers everything from price, adhesion to how it holds up @ high and low temperatures. I found it very helpful in making my decision!

That's a good web-site/article based on actual measurments and is fairly scientific in determining which deadeners work the best. And which are the best value. AND it does not seemed biased towards any one product. Thanks for sharing!

I have been running the second skin damplifier pro now for about 8 months. Not a long time but it held up will in the summer heat here in AZ.

Wow, that looks pretty comprehensive.

This may be a bit off topic, but does anyone have a suggestion for a sound-deadening material that would work well on top of Rhino Lining? I'm looking for something weather-resistant I can place on the floor to keep sound down on the highway, but can be easily removed as needed. Indoor/outdoor carpet, rubber truck bed mat, etc.

How about a carpet kit or one of the form fitted vinyl mats? Either will do what you are asking. The vinyl mat was pretty sweet, until you have to modify the floor.

The silver thermal stuff looks ok but I wasn't happy with it alone. I wasn't happy with the sound dampening I got from it so I laid 3/8" automotive carpet padding over the top of it. I also put the carpet pad behind the quarter panels and headliner. It really helps the A/C and tunes work better.
