Can someone provide the measured location of the mounting holes for the stock spare tire carrier latch on the tailgate?

The last time I did this I simply installed the hinges and carrier, attached the latch to the carrier in its normal position centered on the stainless steel striker sleeve, and then pushed the assembly up to the tailgate and marked the holes on the latch assembly. Be sure to use the backing plate inside the tailgate. This will ensure that the geometry all ine up with your hinge and carrier attachment as is.

Thanks for the response. I can't take your suggested approach as I don't have my carrier with the vehicle at the moment.

I used this method on mine, and while I haven't drilled yet (tailgate still needs some work) it looks like 21¾" from the right edge to the hole centers. There's some room for error there, 1/16" either way would still be well centered in the stainless striker.
