im doing a disc brake conversion and one spindle had needles out of the race. ok going to get a kit for that one, problem is that they both have the seals in behind the needle bearings. i figured thats how they went but it seems that the seal goes on after, the needle bearings are pressed in just enough to accept the little seal, ofcourse than if you ever took the spindle off the seal would pop off because of nothing holding it on . i have three spindles out here and they all have the seal on first then the needle bearing. are they all wrong.

Needle bearing pressed in until they seat, then put in the seal with the open side of the "U" facing the bearing.

I have taken apart dozens, probably hundreds and have never seen them any way other than this.

thats how i put them. what threw me is that i have three spindles here and all of them had the seal in first and the bearing flush with the back of the spindle. all three spindles are off different dana 44,s so i figured = how could they all be wrong, but they were.
