stainless steel hinges & tailgate parts advice

I am sold on the idea of using stainless steel hardware during my restoration, but looking for some feedback on some of the other stainless steel items out there. I want to minimize "bling" on the Bronco and keep it fairly plain looking. That said, a stainless steel windshield hinge seems like a very good idea to prevent rust. For the tailgate release latch and mounting plate, it seems like the zinc would provide a bit more of a plain look than the stainless steel, and the zinc in theory, would also not rust. Am I missing anything? I appreciate all thoughts.

Most of the stuff comes shiny. I don't like bling either so I used a scotch pad to give it the brushed look. Which cuts down on the bling a lot and looks a lot like zinc.

That's my plan as well with the removable hinge kit, I just don't want shiny hinges either. I wish someone made these in a matte or satin black finish.

My body shop painted my SS windshield hinge for the same reason. I may have to brush down the license plate bracket because I'm not diggin the shiny chrome look.

do any of the vendors offer a zinc tailgate latch assembly ?

Major Tom - Dennis Carpenter has a zinc-plated handle and mounting plate.

So far so good, but I have no idea how the paint guy prepped it to be honest.

I painted my stainless lift off hinges the color of the bronco to look le the factory hinges

You can powder coat stainless too.
