My Bronco would randomly quit running (stall). Eventually determined it was ignition switch. Internal contacts had warn down enough (OEM part was only 50 years old) that in the run position with a little vibration they would open up, and engine would die.
Next time it stalls, DON'T touch key in ignition switch, pull over and stop, DONT touch key in ignition switch, open hood, and check voltage at distributor.

Given the changes were fuel pump and filter prior to which car was working good, I betting something is wonky with pump. May be its too high pressure which is a common issue with mechanical pumps when the. go bad. When it overpowers the carb it shuts off becoming too rich. Do you smell gas when it shuts off and starts back up again? I would monitor fuel pressure right when it shuts off

I found a classic bronco guy about an hour away that restores them from time to time and he is going to drive down and check it out for me on Tuesday …. Will hopefully have a good update soon. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and thanks for all the great feedback

Mechanic coming to the house tonight after work to look at it…. Fingers crossed it is my lack of experience and he makes a few adjustments and we are off. Will let everyone know after he swings by…. This forum is fantastic if you didn’t already know. I have had 4 Broncos and this one for 25+ years and the members here are just amazing. I appreciate everyone’s help and I will say I’m much more comfortable around a carburetor after this thread. Fingers crossed he can get it working and I will let you know what the solution was

That is some new "old" issue sounds like unrelated to your upgrades. Hope that solves it . Ya bad accelerator pump will make it die when you give it throttle with extra air and no additional gas.
