Here is one of my former Mustangs. My dad has a 69 Mach 1 that I claim also.

here is the 1st 5.0 that i built.

347 stroker, afr heads, systemax intake, 3" exhaust, 4:10 gears, c4, 3000 stall converter, 200 shot of nitrous.

LOTS of fun. it would pull 1.5 60' times and lift the front tires on drag radials!!

I tried the Bronco and Mustang thing for a while...just realized I'm not a Mustang guy. Also very few practical benefits an early Mustang out in the country, so I sold it and got a 75 F250 truck.

There is nothing impractical about a stang. classic styling and a heavy foot. what could be better?

1970 mustang Mach 1 351c 4v 4speed car, see avatar, first car, bought in 1984 for $600.

1973 bronco, 302 4v auto, will be son's daily driver, right now is my "Friday" car.

1968 bronco, 289 2v 3speed, uncut, restored to factory specs, just finished last week.

My family has always been into the classic mustangs, other mustangs currently in our stable:

1969 Mach 1 351w 4v 4 speed car - Dad

1969 GT Fastback 351w 4v Auto - Brother

1968 GT Coupe 289 4v Auto - Older Sister

1967 J code Coupe - Younger Sister

1967 J code Convertible - Dad/Mom

my brother also has a 2001 Bullit with less the 10K on it

Now that is a very nice collection!!

I love Mustangs but I concur! My experience with organized Mustang clubs and from being at Mustang events is that they are not nearly as friendly/accepting as Bronco people. To get any respect in the Mustang crowd you need a really nice original restored car. On the other hand most Bronco people appreciate ANY Bronco! ;D

I agree with you. But, I will say show up with a nice fastback in a cruise in or show and people accept you without any questions. Even chevy guys can't resist looking. I have found you bronco guys very accepting and cant wait to share my progress as I am able to do things on the old EB. Got to come up with a nick name. might be first on the list.:)

Plus I don't care much for any Mustangs after '74--I don't really think of them as "real" Mustangs--which makes me the same kind of snob. %)[/QUOTE]

no it doesn't make you a snob. means you know when they actually made real mustangs. Of course they have done some right after then. Just not as cool.

I used to have both. Some SOB stole the Mustang out of the driveway. I'll get another Mustang someday but till then, I'll have to live with two Bronco's. One has Mustang Fuel injection and the other will soon have an engine from a 68 Mustang. Does that count as two Mustangs and two Broncos?

Yeah, had my 85 SVO stolen as well. Living in TX at the time and police found it about a week later torched on a country dirt road north of Houston. Everything that could burn was gone.

My family is definitely a Mustang family. Collectively we have a 66 coupe, 67 convert, and 67 coupe. I was the first to venture into the Bronco territory.

67 coupe with 289, fuel injection, AOD, rack and pinion, AC, etc. Was my daily driver all through high school when there wasn't snow. I don't feel comfortable keeping my Mustang parked on the street in the city at college. As soon as I graduate college the Mustang and Bronco will split DD duties.

I am on my third Mustang. 1st 89 LX 5.0 Conv first car, still have it in partially restored, then broken in to, then stored for too long, condition. 2nd 98 Cobra, traded on 06 GT Conv current daily driver.

I am also on my first Bronco, my 73 351, C-4 is on the floor but so is the NV-3550 so soon to be NV-3550. I got this when my 93 Lightning was stolen. So every car I have ever owned was a V-8 Ford.

My dad has a pro street 71 mach 1. Completely built for speed but somehow still street legal. 5.50's in 1/8 mile. It's wicked. The other 71 he has is a vert just for enjoyment. My 67 has a 428CJ and a 5 speed that will spin 4 out of 5 gears but not like the pro street car. Guess its somewhere in the middle. Everybody needs a car for each purpose.
