Link to Pulley!

Pretty neat. I didn't even know that was an option considering the integrated pulley/balancer the explorer came with. I'm assuming this lines up with the other accessories without spacers?

yep. fits perfect :)

the only problem is that you cant see your old timing marks with the explorer set up. I set the balancer at 0* with the old mark and then put some timing tape on the other side to use the 5.0 timing pointer.

Bronco 69:

I noticed that the driven aauto pulley is 3 hole, how are you bolting it to the 4 hole 94 5.8 balancer???

no, i am putting it on a new 3 bolt pioneer balancer that i bought for this project. there is no way to make the 4 bolt balancer work and i did not want to rebalance the explorer balancer.

you have to use the explorer balancer, timing cover, and water pump if you want the serp belt to line up.
Unless you have some plan to solve it.

i do have a plan and it is solved. that pulley in combination with the stock 3 bolt balancer lines up perfect. ;D

Yep, Randy showed me a stock Explorer balancer and a stock 3-bolt Bronco balancer with his custom pulley. Perfect match.

here are a few pics. the high idle was fixed with a new throttle body. the 1st one had too large of a hole drilled into it.

here are some of the mods to make this happen.

internal pump in a stock style tank
1994 bronco OEM fuel lines, filter, regulator, fuel pump, and fuel rails.
ford mini starter
explorer belt drive system with astro van reservoir
aluminum radiator with tranny cooler and external tranny cooler
electric fan
351w from a 94 lightning with gt40 heads
edelbrock performer intake
75mm throttle body
headers
1989 5.o harness with 5 speed computer
the ORIGINAL 351w distributor and remote mount TFI
wild horses 1" body lift / bushings
town car air box with a K&N filter
stock 19# injectors and mass air meter

and more. video soon!!

i used a stock harness from a 89 mustang. untaped it and routed it the way i wanted. there was LOTS of extra lenght once i did that. i bet i have 3.5' of wire in the cab.

today i finished up the brakes, mounted the air box, wired the electric fan, installed a battery hold down, and started the column rebuild.

all i have left to be driving is the lower coulumn bearing bushing!!
