Stereo Console Options & Advice

I am going to install a stereo console in my 73 but I am looking for input as to which one. The Tuffy website seems to recommend the 013 model which is 8” wide. I have stock seats and seat belts and it seems that it will be a pretty snug fit. Also, the console will partially cover the seat belt bolts. Tuffy also has the 024 model which is 8” wide at the front where the stereo compartment is and only 6-1/2” wide at the back where the storage compartment is. I am leaning towards the narrower model for an easier fit between the seats.

I will consider other brands. Vendors have models which are less than half the price of Tuffy. Tuffy seems to have the only 6-1/2” wide model.

This recent thread sort of beat the topic to death. Might be some helpful info here. The second page is where I put in my 2 cents. I have been very happy with my console setup.
