Stupid Cut Fender Question...

I'm sorry to ask, as I have searched here for a bit and found all kinds of different answers and now just need to know for my sanity...

Were cut rear fenders ever offered from the "factory" in later years or is this just a myth?

I know that dealers would periodically cut fenders or have them sent to folks that would cut them prior to sending them off with the new owner, but did Ford ever have the cut look as the body style in the 70's models?

I thank you in advance for the help!

Never, ever a factory option.
I believe even the Stroppe Baja Broncos that had cut rear fenders (but not fronts) were done by Stropped and not by Ford. Even though Ford painted the base colors for them, I'm pretty sure they did not cut the fenders. But Andrew (BajaBronco here) would know that for sure.

Dealer or owner only as far as I know.
Just like the roll-bars, roof racks, push-bars, PTO winches and Snow Plows too for all I know, and all that other stuff that was offered as an "option" in the Ford brochures.
All were installed after the fact.

I am 99% sure that it was done at the Dealers or elsewhere. I don't believe they left the factory cut at any point. But I have been wrong before.
