Would it be dumb of me to remove the under-dash air conditioner from my Bronco?
It's ugly and takes up a lot of real estate under the dash and it clutters up the engine compartment:
I live in New Jersey and only drive the Bronk in nice weather. I run with the Rampage soft top on and windows removed for a safari-like top. I've only been through one summer, but never once thought to zip the windows back in and run the A/C. I did turn on the A/C just to see if it works and it is pretty weak / blows cool but not freezing cold air (maybe needs to be charged). Maybe if I got caught in the rain on a hot day? But I only take it out when the forecast is good and so what if I get a little wet...
I'm not worried about resale as I plan to keep her a long time.
But I also feel like I'm giving up a nice-to-have and don't want to regret it later...
Thoughts?
