I'll be staying at the Lazy Daze as well. Don't think my bronco will be ready for a 15 hour drive from NH but I'm excited regardless.

I see on the schedule that the show and shine is 5-8 on Friday and you must be there then to be judged.

Saturday has an open field show. Does this mean that no trucks will be judged on Saturday? I know that in years past Saturdays have had many more Broncos than on Fridays (of course it's not the 50th Anniversary in the past either).

I can't make it up until Saturday morning and that cuts me out if that is the case. Can anyone verify?

yes per tom ...
show and shine is 5-8 PM on Friday ...awards for it on Sat !!

I was also wondering about this new change & wy ? w. the 9:30 A.M. Drive #6 Parson Branch Drive - hands down the best of the gathering ..
(45 Miles - NOTE: part of this is a narrow rocky one lane dirt road that will not damage any vehicle but has dust, dirt, and Water Crossings. Ends on the legendary Tail of the Dragon with 314 turns in 11 miles. Estimated time 3 1/2 Hours)

guess all the BD trophy hunters are not going on any EB cruises on Friday !

Looks to me that all the drives can get back to Townsend by 5. If you're concerned that mud, dirt and grime will hurt your chances of a trophy, I wouldn't worry. You know Tom won't "take off points" for that - he's far more likely to award points for dirt or have a special trophy for "dirtiest" Bronco!

Upgrades and maintenance!! Squeaking in a little cruise in the 4door this weekend with the some of the Tidewater Bronco's guys to the MEB M&G in Richmond Va. and will pick up a new Aero tank to get me a few extra gallons of fuel. Swapped out the old Mallory dual point that has been lighting up the little 289 in the '73 for better than 20 yrs. Found it brand new for cheap in a Sears surplus store and it has performed very well. I think I go my monies worth!! Use to be able to get a marine cap with no vent hole and a gasket on the bottom and brass contacts.....I think the cap, points and rotor button had to be better than 10 yrs old as it was on it for the 40th anniversary!! Game on Shooting for Windrock Tuesday.

I'm trying to plan my route from Nebraska to Townsend. Looks like I can take hwy 36 across Missouri or I-70. Any Missouri folks have a recommendation? Will be trailering the Bronco, so probably won't be breaking any speed records. thks.

I'm not familiar with 36, I-70 is smooth sailing all the way across Missouri. 70 mph speed limit and pretty well maintained.

More things available to you along the I70 route and probably smoother.

Shoot I'm in! Might not have the Bronco done, but nothing better than missing work to look at other broncos and drink some beers. And eat lots and lots of food with the lady

FJB, we travel from central MO to Omaha at least once a year and find 36 to be a more pleasant drive, not as many trucks but still nice 4 lane. We cut down at Macon MO on 63 then continue east on I-70. SprDave is right that there's more eateries, gas, motels ect on 70 but also way more stupid traffic, I vote 36.
