Looking at the dims posted the best that I've been able to find is this one: https://store.smalley.com/fse-0137.html at .057" thick and .128" wide. Likely can get exact made, but there will be a minimum order qty. which likely puts it into something a vendor can fund and few others.

Quite surprised that Jon at JB Custom Fab has not chimed in on this thread yet. He may have a solution.

Well, he probably has every snap ring imaginable and prob not enough time in a day to sell a single snap ring. Oldtimer could try reaching out to him but I think it makes the most sense to reach out to JBG. and simply ask their part.

They have told me this for parts they carry, no problem, esp if they don't have it in stock!

@Oldtimer, have you done that yet? I'm tempted to just call for you!

If you can live with .125" width, then two of these back to back: https://www.smalley.com/ring/xds-137
I think if you double up the XDS-137, you get .092 thick.
But that FSE-0137 at .057 thick should be a winner. Just need to grind the ears and make it fit your snap ring pliers.

Good find!

(There's a heavy duty Tru-arc ring thats 31mm metric that's similar to the FSE-0137. I found one in a D20 spud shaft once.)

Thank you all for the comments and offers.

Started contacting local grind/machine shops Friday to see if anyone wanted to take this on. After the the three shops I contacted were closed, I realized Monday was a holiday. And they started the weekend early (the curse of being retired, every weekend is 3 days).

Stopped by a jig grinding shop Tuesday morning and chatted with owner. He was concerned that the snap rings weren't perfectly flat and wondered if the mag chuck would hang on to them. He went out to the shop, and when he came back, 10 minutes later, he said they would be done in another 15 minutes.

So, starting with a 8A-7064 snap ring and grinding to .063" thick creates a C6TZ 7070-B equivalent.

Hilarious, AI uses our website and this thread for the answer:

Surface Grinding an Available OEM Ring: A common workaround discussed by builders on forums like ClassicBroncos.com is purchasing the readily available Ford 8A-7064 snap ring. It shares nearly the exact same Inner Diameter (1.220") and Width (.156"), but is thicker at .093". Builders use a machine shop's surface grinder to shave the thickness down to your required .064"

No such thing as privacy.

No such thing as copyright ( I know it doesn't affect us in this forum). But I'm rooting for the authors and publishers who are sueing AI for copyright infringement...

It is really funny. A few times in the past month I have searched something for people on here and it always brings up the stupid thread of which I'm trying to help with. I consider myself above average with finding things and answers online but really tough when it sends you in a stupid loop.
