I can't say I've run it it yet but I was in your same boat this last year. My '75 came with an older style 5.5" lift from the previous owner and I want to do some sand, flint hills dirt trails, gravelin', and some slow crawler trails. It rides pretty darn rough without a top, bumpers, etc. I shopped and read and shopped and read... Yaddah yaddah yaddah... It ended up coming down to WCB for radius arms and shock mounts and he suggested Wildhorses coils and leafs...thought they were a really good all around spring setup. So I picked up springs last Black friday sale from Wildhorses and kept saving bronco fund money. In the mean time I stumbled into Battlement Fabrication and he also suggested Wildhorses or Deaver springs and King shocks with his radius arms, adjustable coil mounts, and adjustable shock mounts up front. I got ahold of Jim (the old Cage offroad) and ordered a rear shock mount from him. The gear just started to come in from Battlement (shocks in route later this week) and then gotta get it scheduled to install (my welds look like gummie bears too -- laughed outloud there). After seeing a quick vid of the Battlement Fab setup on a Stock Class EB it more or less sealed the deal...

Side note: I ordered a Carli Suspension 2.5 King 2.5" leveling kit for my F350 and if the Bronco is half as good as the F350 is now I will be tickled pink!

You mentioned having some extra cash to make your EB ride/perform -- springs are the first place and everyone I talked to and PM'ed said once they decided to go with either King or Fox they would never go back if they had the money and to do it all over again. We'll see... Excited to get it all installed and get SweetPea back on the trails/road...

Those are definitely not our current coils. Those were from before we made the major redesign! You can tell by how close they are together and the sheer diameter of the coils themselves. No argument that style was stiff!

In the 4th pic: The 4th leaf down, it looks as though it was added and is tack welded to the 3rd leaf, this is gonna act as one which is not gonna help at all with ride.
Edit: I see where someone else has pointed this out and has stated that its hitting the pad locater which is prob right and not been tack welded as I stated.

Thanks Suzy...problem solved with the front coils then, I will upgrade without worry.
What about the rear springs? Can you tell by looking if they are the old 10 leaf design? Have your leaf springs undergone a change in the last 10 years or so?
