One thing leads to another... I'm replacing the suspension on my 77. In the middle of it now with the rears done. I went with the TBP 3.5" and i'm replacing all bushings and brakelines, HD coil perches, retainers as well. I tend to have the "once i'm in there, what else can/should I replace" mindset.

My bronco will be a mall crawler, so flex isn't a big priority for me. Road manners is! Based on what i've gathered, the JD T-rex arms won't be all that crucial for me, but I wanted to solicit all my new Bronco friends feedback.

Do ya'll think i should splurge and get the T-rex arms? my original plan was use the stock arms with 7* bushings and call it good.

If it's a street rig I'd spend the $$ and have the Dana 44 C's cut and turned for a better caster angle over buying new radius arms.

I have the T-REX arms on my 74 with 3.5 inch lift and 4 degree c-bushings. The main reason I got the arms was to get my turning radiuses back, with the stock arms my tires would rub, so I had to turn the stops way out, but with the T-REX arms no rubbing and my turning radiuses is awesome. The cut and turn thing is the way to go for better caster and driveline angle, but for me the set up works for me.

Agreed. Turning radius is restored with tires that are wider than stock. Plus the T-Rex arms are a Direct Bolt On with no welding. Just make sure the arms are parallel to each other during install.

I have 2 77s. Both have the T-Rex Arms and 4* Bushings. The latest one in the alignment shop has +4.4 and + 4.6 Caster. Turning Radius is Very good with no rubbing with 305/70/17s.

Highly recommended.

Don't count on them to fix your caster. With a 3.5” lift, 7* bushings will likely be mandatory just to maintain your caster. Like Savage, I bought mine mostly for the tire rub/turning radius but was hoping for caster improvement too. I'm running 7* on a 2.5” lift.

My non-scientific, cheapo angle finder definitely showed caster gain when I installed my t-rex arms. At least 4 degrees in my case.

Overall, I love them. They improved my ride quality (due to the rear bushings no longer being already tweaked when sitting at ride height), they improved my drive-ability, and the turning radius is great.
