So been un able to shift my transfercase at all and started tearing into today and found that when I pull the springs out of the top holes it shifts really smooth. put one spring back in,(either side), and I am back to no shifting. do I need to just buy new springs or do I have other issues..? it is a 72 tshift by the way. thanks

The springs usually lose tension over time. The balls will wear until they're not round though. How do they look?
