JSmall has a thread going on what software https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=293966 I did not want to hijack that thread for pics and ideas on how to mount tablets, so let's what you guys have done so far as mounting the tablet in the cab goes.

My tablet will be here today and I have a Ram Mount coming. I plan to mount it off my cage until I have time to make a new dash. My ultimate goal is to have it mounted in the dash. I will share some pics when I get the Ram Mount.

I don't have any pictures on me can post some tonight. But I have a 3.5 touch screen for the Holley EFI mounted to the Roll bar with the ram mount. You could do the same thing with a tablet.

I use a tablet for gps, need to get a pic of it in the ram mount. just realized I could use the dongle and do gauges too and any vehicle i'm using it in....hmmmmmm but probably not, lifters are noisy = oil is a problem, cloud of sweet steam = she's hot, dim lights or starts back firing = alt is out. even with gauges not doing much until those points are reached anyway. But for diagnostics it would be awesome. Can't do diagnostics with even the best race gauges, they just aren't that accurate or consistent. case in point anyone have an Autometer volt gauge? ever notice starts the day with 15 volts, 2 hours later at 13-1/2, 2 hours after that 12 and 2 hours after that 11? get out the trusty mulitmeter or dongle and phone/tablet and its sitting at 13.5 all day. Lots of good alternators changed do to junk "great" gauges.

I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 for my setup. I wanted something larger since I plan to mount it in the dash and so I can see the gauges easily.

I made a mount that fits in place of the factory radio to hold the touch screen unit for the Holley sniper. It's not really a large tablet but similar idea, and I can see the information I want from the drivers seat.

I used a Roll bar clamp to mount little sniper one. It's in a good spot and easy to see my gauges and make changes
