Just scored some used 275/70 17's BFG AT's from work we'll see how they look/work on the 17" Dodge steel wheels. It's easy to enlarge the center holes I made a jig by bolting a steel plate the back of the wheels, found the center drilled a pilot, and used a hole saw to enlarge the hole.[/QUOT

Saw your post on the jig you made.

Was it pretty easy to drill? I have no idea of the amount of material that is needed to be removed nor have I ever tried to drill out a wheel!

And what size was the hole saw?

Can't remember the size just measure the hub size and go with that, not to bad to drill had to clean it up a little with a die grinder and a file. Early Bronco wheels aren't hub centric so they don't really have to be exact, ours rely the lug nuts to center the wheel.

Thanks. Will check it out when my wheels get here this week and decide how to tackle it.

Did the 1 hole saw do all 4/5 or did you need another?

Got my 5 rims today.

The 4 cheaper rims look like they are brand new and have been reconditioned really nicely. It will be a shame to scuff them up and repaint!

The 5th I got from ebay is pretty ordinary with bubbled rust that's just been sprayed over.

I'm going to reach out to that seller and see what they say.

Sent the seller an email last night about the rusty rim. Woke up this morning to a "sorry about that" email. Said I can keep it etc and gave me a full refund instantly.

That's customer service.

So it looks like a 3 3/8th hole saw should do the trick. Need to take just over a 1/4" from the diameter.

I'm going to try it out first on the rusty rim and see how it goes. Hopefully get some time over the weekend.

Stay tuned!
