I was able to drive my bronco today for the first time since I was a young man. Hopefully didn’t piss the neighborhood off being 230 am. It does have a muffler tho. I bought the truck as senior in high school. 1998

Back in 2004 my bronco started misfiring something terrible and I convinced myself it was because I didn’t have hardened valve seats and I was running unleaded fuel. So I tore the heads off, shortly after I found out I was having a baby. Bronco got pushed in a corner. Looking back it was probably just points. I didn’t even know what points were then.

But since 04 I kept collecting parts. Finally in 2021 I decided it had been long enough. Blasted it down to the frame and went through the entire drivetrain, and all the stuff many of us have done.

I physically did everything myself except machine work. I know I could have never done that by just reading manuals. I don’t have that kind of talent. But thanks to all you guys letting me ask a million questions, and then getting them answered I will be able to drive my bronco to work tomorrow.

Was 24 when it was put up and I’m 47 now. I drug that non running bronco to apartment complex’s, town homes and then finally my home I purchased.

So from a Bronco fanatic Thank you guys!

Congratulations! It’s a great feeling the first time I drove mine after starting working on it in late 2018 and finally driving earlier this year in 2026. Enjoy!

Good on you!! 2:30 in the morning...I'd do the same, if I could only stay up past 9...still working on mine, that I haven't driven since 1972. Hope you have many good times with yours...well done!
