Moral of this story: Test your injectors before you put it all together and fire it up.

I'm glad I couldn't make it down this morning. You would had me pushing that thing back home and there are some big hills to get to your house. Good luck finding the trouble.

no was clean new and i cleaned it again

teflon tape ok with fuel had a few leaks on acummalator other day used it to fix?

The tape should be fuel safe but use too much and it can get into the fuel system. I'd pull everything off from the accumulator forward and clean it out.

You say there is gas getting into the upper, and the only thing that goes through the upper is air since the injectors spray into the port just before the head. With that being said the only way for gas to get into the upper is through vacuum ports. Change that pressure regulator.. Like I said earlier I refused to believe it myself, your not going to find gas in the hose cause the vacuum is keeping it cleared out, and that is why you are losing fuel pressure after it is shut off. It isn't that hard to change it, especially while you have the rails off changing injectors that aren't faulty. There is no way I would go any further with the trial and error method you are using without changing the regulator next. Not meaning to sound rude, just trying to help.

Your injector filters should be catching all the crap. I think you'll need to clean those out too.

well it cranked fine to go back in the shop, when I turned off the pumps after the reg vac test I could still here a injector spraying, and of course fuel pressure went with it.

how important is the return into the accumalator? wanna bypass it and replace with canister filter because its still got a leak. I wanna K.I.S.S. it!

In other words tank, filter, supply pump, filter, hp pump rail....return straight to tank

all this is on new aluminum fuel line
