I decided to make a build thread for my rig, just to keep a record for my brain. I drive it daily and I'm rebuilding it piece by piece while keeping it driveable. So, here it is:

(Let me say this: don't ever by a bronco from broncosbybama (Dennis Burton of Fackler, Ala). He's a builder and just about everything he told me was horribly untrue. I'm repairing things that I thought I had paid for! Some bronco builder!)

Here's what I purchased:
1973 Bronco Sport
302 2v (supposedly only has 35,000 original miles)
C-4
no lift (was told it had a 2" lift)
Cut Fenders with Flares
body sandblasted and painted
New seats (not bolted in)
no seat belts
Rusted exhaust
33" BFG M/Ts on Mickey T Classic 2
Rollbar

What I've Done:
Clear Front Turn Indicators and black gaskets
Front Disc conversion w/ slotted rotors
Warn Premium Hubs
F-250 Camper Special M/C (1 1/16" bore)
New front hard brake lines
New Front braided brake lines to calipers
h-4 headlight conversion with relay harness
Rebuilt gauge pod with electroluminescent gauges and LED turn signal indicators and high beam indicator.
New Starter Solenoid
New Horn Relay
New Hoses and Belts
Tom's Saginaw Steering Pump and Brackets
Mounted seats with grade 8 bolts and washers
New Chrome rear tailight bezels
Hood Shocks from JBG
Removed Aux gas tank
New Hedman Elite Coated Headers
Dual 2 1/24 pipes
Dual Flowmaster Mufflers
New Water Pump
Edelbrock Performer Intake
Edelbrock 500cfm carb (elec. choke)
K&N Filter
Chrome Summit Air Cleaner
New Oil Pressure Sending Unit and extension
Duff Steering Stabilizer
New Tie Rod, Ends and Drag Link
New Trac Bar Bushings
BCB Steering Box reinforcement (cracked frame re-welded)
New 132dB low-tone horn
New Window Cranks

Currently IN PROGRESS (working on)

Tuffy Console (with Alpine CD player; Kenwood EQ; various switches and aux fuse box, and LED interior illumination)
WH 3 point harness
Carter 4070 Electric Fuel Pump with new hard lines and braided lines with -AN fittings and BCB brake line holders
Rebuilding rear brakes
various anti-theft pieces
Liftgate shocks

Planned:
Alternator from RAY
2 1/2" suspension lift
1" WH body lift
35" tires
New Radiator
Replace rusted drivers floor pan
Soda Blast and repaint hard top
Replace Dash Knobs and Switches
New Glove Box
BCB A/C
12" subwoofer, Punch amp, Sony X-Plod amp, Infinity 6.5" speakers rear, 5.25 components in kick panel with tweeters in Dash.

Today we were cleaning the bronco and adding some odds and ends (mostly bling kinda stuff). My wife was installing new seat hinge covers and asked me why they (JBG) sent the wrong parts. She said it had too many of one size and not enough of the other.

When I looked into it, I found that the my PO (the infamous idiot "bronco builder") had apparently installed two of the same seats. I have either two drivers seats or two passenger seats. The fold release knob is on the left side (if your sitting) of the seats. No wonder he didn't bolt in the seats. And no wonder my 3 point seatbelt brackets don't fit right.

What should I do? Which side is the folding lock supposed to be on? The outside, or the middle?
