Yeah, probably the right call on the TV but can't argue about any of the others! ;D Gonna bring mine up there to work on it! I have none of those accomodations. :(

Bring it up!! Can't say how fast it'll be worked on (looking at my slower-than-an-iceberg-pace lately) but it's a comfy spot to work in!!

Moved it out of the garage under its own power so I could sweep up the fabbin' droppings...seems to run like I have a couple cylinders crossed. Any thoughts? I can look this up, but are the Mustang firing order and the Explorer firing order different? Wouldn't I have to wire the dizzy so it followed the Explorer firing order? I'll look this up tonight, but if someone has any input, I'd greatly appreciate it....

Mustang HO and Explorer should be the same firing order...or at least it was for me. Mine ran crappy and skipped when I first started it and I found out I had a vacuum leak. Nit sure if that is your problem our not tho.

I'm not sure...it's acting like there's a stopping point in there somewhere. POURING gas into the cylinders...One point is making it seems like it should run backwards...Very rough and fuel laden...

The later 302's and 351's and exploder motors had different firing orders. Supposedly it was done to make the engine run cooler. I found this out the hard way, my 73 was rebuilt by a friend years ago and when I went to start it the thing popped and banged and ran like crap. After checking everything and re-stabbing the dizzy a dozen times I couldn't figure it out. One night it hit me, maybe the RV cam we put in has a different firing order. Looked up the late model Mustang firing order, swapped the plugs and it ran perfect! Give it a try, might just be the issue.

Checked the firing order...I was off. Two cylinders were wired wrong...now she runs a little better. I just need to install the O2 sensor harness and see where it runs from there...

Glad you figured it out. Your going to love that set up.

5.0L HO, Explorer, and the 351W are all the same firing order I believe.

Radiators4less is awesome!!

I bought a radiator off eBay in June of 2010. I knew it had a leak and a pressure test yesterday confirmed it. A quick look on eBay and I remembered they offered a lifetime warranty. A couple minutes later they sent out a new replacement, free of charge!!

Gotta love Radiators4less!!!

Good deal. I have seen their ads before. I'll have to keep them in mind.

If the thermostat is higher than the top of the radiator it can sometimes be difficult to purge. You can jack up the front of the truck till the rads higher. Does the therm. have a relief hole?

I was able to get her bled, but since I split the output of the temp and oil sensors, I'm reading about half of what I should. Temp gauge reads 120, but the fan came on (195 set temp, maybe) and the oil reads 10 pounds at idle.

anyone know of any electronic trickery to make it read close to normal??? If the gauge on the dash is reading low, I'm sure the computer is too...

I never got my oil pressure figured out, I just put in a mechanical gauge because I wanted to drive it. For the water temp I pulled the sensor out of my 289 and used that. Water temp read normal after.

Its running. And Good too!!!

I bought a Ron Francis O2 harness and it was delivered at the perfect time. Plugged it in and it made a HUGE difference in the idle...I'm very excited...Oh wait, that should read "I'M VERY EXCITED!!!"

Bolted the old bumpers back on and tidied up a few loose ends...some wiring tomorrow for the lights and she's road worthy!!! I just need good weather!!
