I had to put an extra spring on mine to make it feel right.

It feels okay, but the sensitivity is way too high. I need to bring the cable closer to the pivot point. It's too far out making the slightest movement look like I'm punching it. It would be scary if it were slippery.

If you are running the mustang throttle body, you have to make the pivot arm longer. I think that the kit from BC broncos come with a longer pivot arm as well. Did that with mine and it seems pretty good!

Awesome that you have it running! ;D

Damn, I completely forgot about extending the arm on the throttle. I thought of you see cable and it came with the extension. It made a huge difference. After I extended it I had to put the extra spring on to get the feeling back.

I'll have to order one up...I looked at modifying it but there isn't enough meat there...

Your still using the explorer TB right? I'll have to take a look at mine but if I remember right I had to tig weld the new extension to the arm on the TB. I don't remember now why I couldn't bolt it together.

Nope, Mustang...bolted right on. I did modify my gas pedal to use the cable. Heated it with a torch and twisted the end 90* and added a slot to slip the cable through, then closed it up. Works good...

use a garage door spring probably help with fuel mileage ;D

And the size of my thighs!!!

Last night the Bronco was called into action...my oldest daughter (21) got her Subaru high centered on some snow. So I grabbed the chains and pulled her out. Somehow the starter died, so we had to pop start it to get it going. She jumped in the Bronco and I popped the clutch. By the time it was all over I had used everything. 2Hi, 4Low, 4Hi and back to 2Hi. My JB twin sticks worked awesome and I had a very thankful feeling I had time off between jobs to finish up the EFI swap...

Drove it to work all this week as the GF and I played car shuffle...looked down on Friday and saw 52,000 miles. Not bad seeing its 30 years old...

I had some time to work on my bumpers this weekend because the kids are gone. Found a solution to the latching mechanism and painted it with a different color that I like better than the paint I used on the bumpers. So now I have to repaint the bumpers.
