Looking at all the photos of the modified broncos back in the day, it makes me wonder just how many went under the knife in their young age to never see the streets again as a stock-ish bronco or even see the streets again. I know my dad cut his 68 U14 to fit larger tires to hunt the Everglades, eventually all that was left of the original bronco was the frame... He sure regrets cutting a U14 apart today but back then, who knew....

My Dad bought his first Bronco in 1978. It was a '69 Sport U15, Royal Maroon in color. First thing he did, cut it in the rear! Back then it was common practice. Now, even he says how wrong it was.

I tracked this Bronco down a few years back and its uncut again!

The Rubicon- 1976

Going thru with a small group in M37 Dodge (yes, M37 Dodges!) and ran into a Bronco group. Took one pic but don't remember any details. Had no interest in Bronco at the time, being fully in lust with M37s at the time.

Yeah, I need to go down to the Huntington Beach cop shop to see if they know what happened to it.
