I am having problems finding the right spring. Going from the front of intake to the Holley TA carb. Most springs way too tight. It is 7.5 inches of space to span. Here are two I have tried. Having a hard time finding the right spring. Any suggestions or pics of what u have tried

You should be able to get a bracket and mount it under one of the intake bolts a little closer.

It looks like that spring is extending past the valve covers, and there should be a couple intake bolts you could mount the bracket with that are closer.

I have my spring mounted on the bottom of the linkage and streatched towards the firewall. But I have an edlebrock, not sure if its possible for holley linkage...

So as u can see I have a kick down bracket on the back side so it interferes with me running the spring that way. This is a Weiand intake and I don't see many other choices on putting the braket

Now I see what you're talking about.

Could get creative and make a bracket similar to what you have except extened closer to to reach the springs.

Or, order some new throttle linkage/brackets like nut73.

If you re-routed your existing cables you might gain enough room to fit the spring facing the rear, but Lokar is prob your best bet.

Google Lokar. The bracket on the carb is generic. Infact so is the cable. The kickdown cable has a C-4 specific bracket where the cable hooks to the tranny.
Summit, Jegs, Speedway all see the throttle cable and carb bracket with springs.
BC has it just as cheap. I'm looking now. Got mine from either BC or JBG.
