I have the ready to run pro billet MSD distributor, the holley sniper, phasing rotor, lock out for the distributor..
Everything I read was all that together will allow me to utilize the timing control. I called Holley when the Sniper arrived yesterday just to make sure I have everything I need and they tell me the distributor will NOT allow me to use the timing control but it will work with everything else...
Is this true? has anyone used that distributor and been able to use the timing control feature? Or do I need to return it and get the 2 wire distributor..Please and thanks.

What they told you is correct. It will work fine using a tach signal without timing control. To use it with timing control it would have to be converted as it won't work out of the box and from what I understand is not the best choice. Try searching on the Holley EFI forum, there is a lot of info there specific to Sniper. I run the Terminator and use Holley's dual sync distributor, it's plug and play for timing control and will work with the sniper.
