When installing some Timken set 20 bearings, do I install the bearing race first then the axle with bearing and seal. Or do I install as one unit (race, bearing and seal) by tapping the axle to set into the axle housing?

I assemble them as a unit, they should easily tap in. I put a bit of RTV or Hylomar Blue around the outside of the rubber part of the seal to prevent a leak.
