I’m building a light jade exterior Bronco with jade interior, have used the black raptor in the past and loved how it turned out…the stuff is great at durability and covering up blemishes.

I bought raptor and tint from my local paint store in Waco and I’m happy with the uniformity of the spray, but it’s way lighter than I thought it was going to be. I ordered dark jade poly tint and it was very dark in the can but sprayed out more like medium jade. I think I’ll be ok when i go to spray light jade, plus I’ll have carpet and quarter panel inserts so you won’t see much of it, however I’d like to know if I did something incorrectly or if there’s a little bit of a color difference when the tintable is sprayed. Thanks!

The only liner exposure I have on my Bronco is the wheel wells. As long as you are using rear panels and carpeting the wheel wells, you should be in good shape.

The product is amazing, just not the color i was wanting so I’m having a hard time getting used to it. It’s also one of those things that when I put all the panels on, I’ll still know my mistake is down there!!

I have used tinteable raptor many times and it rarely matches the color you want.

I have shot a few Bronco insides with Raptor... Wimbledon white and Poppy red came out well, but the Grabber green was off.

As stated, I know you will know it is off, but once the inside is reassembled it may be hard to tell the difference. Much like painting the engine compartment, once everything goes back in, it is hard to see all those little imperfections.

I've shot two rigs with color match Raptor, and neither was a perfect match. A darker floor might look good and your color is far enough off that it looks like it was an intentional mistake. I'd say run with it!

I like to use paintable 3M body schutz. It has a finer texture than most and accepts a topcoat of paint nicely.

I think it looks fine being a shade off, but i sprayed my entire tub with tintable raptor and have shot rattle can paint directly on top of it and it sticks to it fine. So you can spray right on top of it with your paint choice if you want it to match exactly. I tried the rattle can on the outside grill and it was crappy paint and looks fine. I sprayed inside/outside of my entire bronco with raptor because i want to not worry about scratches

I actually scuffed it and did a shade darker because I wanted to be able to look at it with a clear conscience when I saw it sitting in the garage. I honestly doesnt look much different but I feel better about it hahah!
