I found these on CL,

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/3468195490.html

and can get them for basically a straight trade for my 32's (or so I think). 90+ percent tread, no weather cracking, etc. Great shape. Even though it will be mostly on-road driving, I dig the look. It's a weekend driver, not daily. I just need to know if they handle worth a crap, and when it comes to noise, I know they won't be quiet, but how loud is loud. I have 32" Nankang MudStars now, so the tread pattern is comparable, and mine aren't what I would call "loud". Maybe I've never experienced "loud". Any inputs?

I'm probably going to run these when it's time for new tires. They have pretty good reviews except for a few that I have seen where the sidewall disentigrated.

The Goodyear MTR with Kevlar is in the same price range, maybe a litte more, but seems to be an allaround better tire.

We're talking used here, so I cant really price compare. The MTRs are pretty sweet though. Anyone else?

I run some old Coopers and have for years. They were on my 72 and swapped them to the 67 a few months ago. They're not Discoveries, but they have been great tires.

Chief, can you really get 35's on the 67? Those will look amazing for sure!

Cooper is an outstanding (American made) tire. They have quite a few familiar names under their umbrella like Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek.

My only fear is age. Although they appear to have no weather-cracking, abnormal wear, etc, They changed the style to more of a sidewall tread in 2009. That means even though they have 95% tread, they are at least 3-4 years old. Should I be overly worried for a weekend driver?
